Stentor mobile websites
Websites are increasingly accessed through smart phones (such as iPhone, Android and Blackberries). A website developed for a desktop PC is often experienced as user-unfriendly by mobile users and thus less visited.
Guidance developed, aside the Stentor desktop site, a standard mobile website with Stentor.
Why a mobile site?
By providing customers with an easy to use mobile web shop (designed for smart phones), your site will be used more intensively and thus lead to more communication and product sales.
The most important advantages compared to a desktop site:
- Ease of use (a custom layout so that one does not have to zoom in and out, and the use of larger buttons);
- Speed (optimum load time is considered when designing the site);
- The web shop can be consulted anywhere via the mobile network.

The homepage of a Stentor mobile website is more interaction orientated. The homepage offers entrance to the main product groups. At the bottom of the homepage are clear buttons that refer to the main pages or functions.
Logging on

Customers can log on using their e-mail address and password. After logging on customers can order, review their order history and manage their list of favourites. Customers who don't have an account, can create one from the mobile site.
Searching

Speed is very important when using the mobile network. That's why the Stentor mobile website is equipped with several search options. Such as a search box and product filters. Using the search box one can search on keyword(s), the search results are sorted by relevance. Via the product filters one can select the desired products on various product specifications. Searching using filters can be combined with searching on keyword.
Browsing

At the top of the browser users can find the product filter, while browsing through the product range. The products are shown in list view on the mobile version, allowing to scroll through the assortment easily. At the bottom of the browser one can find the paginator (numbered links to following pages).
Ordering

With each product there is room for an image, product information and of course a order button. With the order button customers can easily add products to their shopping cart. Clicking on an article number will bring the customer to the article specifications. Customers can also order from the article page.
At the top of the browser one can see the number of articles that are added to the shopping cart, and the shopping cart total.
After placing the order, the customer receives a confirmation per e-mail.

The current promotions are off course displayed at the relating products. It's also possible to look up all promotions and order them from the promo-page.
Contact details and other informational pages

The content of the informational pages is completely free and may differ from what is displayed on the desktop website. Under contact, you can list your company contact details, including a Google Map. From the Google Map the navigation app on the smartphone can be controlled to give route directions.
Displaying the mobile web shop
The mobile website will be placed on the same domain as the desktop version. On a smartphone the mobile web shop is automatically displayed in stead of the desktop version.
